Since 1974 this association of people known as the West Kentucky Gospel Music Association (WKGMA) has changed many ways. However, we move forward for the same purpose for which the association was founded:
To promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The WKGMA is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization consisting of local gospel groups and soloists not only from western Kentucky, but the surrounding area of Southern Illinois and West Tennessee. The primary objective and purpose of our organization is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through song and prayer.
The association hosts semi-annual singing conventions, donates time and resources to various charitable organizations and our members bring their talents and faith to church homecomings, revivals and fund-raising benefits for community organizations.
A directory of our members, groups and soloists is maintained and published annually in the month of November.
